Our Feature video shows how Matua Ngaru have created comfortable learning spaces that give children the flexibility to learn in the way that suits them best. They chose pieces that are multi-functional so the furniture can be moved around the room into many different formations.
A clear favourite has been the Hokki Stool (or Wobble Stool), which is ergonomically designed so the user can move while sitting, increasing attention span, blood flow and strengthening lumber muscles.
Principal Tony Grey believes setting up numerous areas and seating options has worked well to support his schools’ approach to individualised learning styles.
